Our daughter loves going to Apple Tree!  The staff there are wonderful and caring and do a great job with the program activities to keep the children learning and exploring in all sorts of ways as they grow. Their outdoor play space is fantastic, and a perfect setting for children of all different ages to actively play together or on their own and let their imaginations run wild!

Our family loves Apple Tree Landing. Both of our children enjoy going, the staff are great and go above & beyond. It makes going to work easier knowing they have fun being there!

My son was a student at Apple Tree Landing for 8 years – from baby right to after school care. It is a warm, family oriented, and caring environment.  Craft time and outdoor playtime were his favorite times! The staff at the Centre were great with my son –  we loved Apple Tree and still have a wonderful relationship with all of the teachers there!

As we are sure most parents can relate, the daunting task of finding appropriate childcare that will meet all of your various needs and requirements leaves something to be desired.  But with Apple Tree Landing, we found just that.  We had two children we entrusted to the care of Apple Tree Landing Children’s Centre for a combined total of 7 years.  Our oldest child was enrolled at the age of 2, much to our hesitation.  It was the friendly demeanor and the willingness to answer our list of questions upon our tour of the facility, that began to ease the burden. The friendly staff always greeted the children with smiles, love and open arms which was so comforting as we were dropping off.  During the time our children attended the centre, the staff offered continuous love and support to our family on multiple levels.  Having a child with higher needs can be challenging and they guided us through these many challenges, offering support on numerous levels, and making adjustments and adaptations wherever possible.  Allowing kids to be kids was one of our favourite things about the centre.  There would be days where we would pick our son and daughter up and they would have mounds of items they collected from a nature walk or they would be mud from head to toe from engaging in sensory play and exploring their creativity.  They would be so excited and happy to tell us all about their days adventures which melted our hearts.  We were also impressed with the way they emerged the various children’s interests into their curriculum, enabling them to be much more engaged, in turn taking in a lot more learning. ­­Overall we would highly recommend Apple Tree Landing Children’s Centre and actually have numerous times.

Apple Tree Landing has been the best decision we have ever made for our daughter. The providers are so good with our girl. She asks to go to daycare on days she has a choice to stay home. We did not start out at Apple Tree, we were in a day home. My regret is not starting at Apple Tree from the age of 9 months. They have an awesome staff who provide excellent care and education to our daughter in a play-based environment. Our girl is very independent and very busy. She loves all the crafts, songs and games she has learned. She loves learning about the babies in the different rooms at daycare. She loves being involved in getting snacks and cleaning up. As a health care professional, I never worry about the safety of my daughter as I know the staff are well educated and keep me informed of any concerns they have. I will hopefully be able to send my daughter to Glooscap school district even though we do not live in that area. I want to continue to depend on Apple Tree to provide after school care along with in-service and snow days, so I do not have added stress in my life of finding another childcare option. The most stressful experience for us was finding quality childcare so we could continue to work; thankfully, a little late, but we found it here.”

We recommend Apple Tree Landing to anyone looking for quality childcare. We are new to the Canning area, and feel so fortunate that our community is home to this wonderful childcare centre. We can’t say enough good things about the staff and programming at Apple Tree. We drop our son off each morning knowing that he is in great care, that he is going to have a fun day, learn new things, and have plenty of time outdoors in the fresh air.
